Duo Cordefiato

Duo Cordefiato consists of two young artists – flutist Ivica Gabrišová and guitarist Miriam Rodriguez Brüllová. They started their cooperation already during the studies at the State Conservatory in Bratislava. Later their routes split up but after the university studies in Austrian Salzburg (Ivica) and Canadian Montreal and Quebec (Miriam) they began again to perform in Slovakia and also abroad. Their repertoire is really large-scale. It includes compositions of all music styles since Baroque to contemporary music, original compositions for flute – guitar duo as well as transcriptions. In concerts they always appear with new interesting program, attractive for audience which includes less known works and even compositions written for them. They are particular about stylistically faithful interpretation of works of different styles and countries of their origin.

In 2003 they participated at international master classes and competition in Weikersheim, Germany. It was their first appearance at international competition and straight they won 2nd prize. In 2006 they performed at the Summer Festival of Young Artists in Piešťany, Slovakia and they were awarded the prize for "Best Performer of the Festival".

They played already numerous concerts in Slovakia and also abroad (Finland, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania). Their recital in Czech Republic was broadcasted live by Czech and Slovak Radio. Lately they recorded a recital of contemporary music for Slovak Radio.

They released their first CD entitled Pictures in October 2005. They cooperate as well with a young successful Slovak cellist Michal Sťahel in Trio Nuevo.
